Objective of the Study
Neonatal Diarrhea (ND) is the main cause of mortality in young calves with cryptosporidiosis pathogen. The client wished to learn more about usages and attitudes in cryptosporidiosis management as well as prepare for the 2022 launch of a cryptosporidiosis product.

Total of 440 completes (FR 120, UK 120, DE 80, ES 80, BE 50, DK 40, PL 60).
TARGET DETAILS
Veterinarians treating cattle (at least 80% of time spent in cattle management) and managing suckling calves AND/OR dairy calves; Good mix between the two types of respondents to be ascertained (soft quota 50/50%); Good mix between vets managing suckling calves and vets managing dairy calves.

MAIN RESULTS
Assessed veterinarians’ perception of cryptosporidiosis and gained in-depth understanding of U&A related to cryptosporidiosis treatment.
Outlined the treatment and prevention solutions, pinpointed the strengths and weaknesses of various brands, assessed the level of satisfaction with these products and identified the protocols used for sick calves/calves in contact with sick animals.
Identified market shares of products used for treatment vs. prevention of cryptosporidiosis as well as current usage and attitude in each segment.
KEY TAKE-AWAY
Gained understanding of the U&A in cryptosporidiosis management by quantifying its incidence, as well as diagnosis and treatment approaches.
